Things you need to know
when you book with us.

Minimum length of stay / Booking certain types of rooms

For short breaks of less than three overnight stays, we will allocate the best available "Lucky Dip Room" on your day of arrival. If you stay in room types "Keiler", "Iltis" or "Fuchs" for 1 or 2 overnight stays as a "Glückszimmer", we will grant you a reduction of EUR 10.00 per person per night, with the exception of single occupancy bookings. 
 

For administrative reasons, we are only able to accept bookings for a particular type of room if you book a stay of three nights or longer. 

With regard to bookings at especially busy times of year, such as Christmas/New Year, the "Fasching" (carnival) weekend, Easter and long weekends which include public holidays, we reserve the right to stipulate a minimum length of stay before accepting your booking. As a rule this would be a period of 4 - 5 days (Christmas: 25 Dec - 02 Jan). If we have any shorter gaps in our bookings schedule, then we can offer shorter stays depending on availability.
 

Children and families

Children are very welcome here in our hotel. They will find an outdoor play area with a little wooden playhouse and an area for riding Bobby Cars. If the weather isn't so good, they can have fun playing in the children and teenagers' room (PlayStations, table football and billiards). The breakfast buffet for our younger guests is very popular, as is our special children’s menu which is offered as part of our "luxury 3/4 board". For our very youngest guests, we can provide cots, babyphones, baby baths, nappy buckets, highchairs, socket covers and stools on request.

You are also welcome to bring your children into the Spa Area. We request that you show consideration towards guests who have come here in search of peace and quiet and may want to relax. Families are welcome in the sauna up until 3.30 pm, after which it is only open to adults aged 15 years and upwards.

Children up to the age of three are welcome to stay here free of charge!
Prices for children, including "luxury 3/4 board", per day
4 to 7 years of age: EUR 48.00
8 to 14 years of age: EUR 64.00
15 years and up: EUR 105.00
These prices apply for a child sleeping in an additional bed with 
two people paying full price in a hotel room.

Our tip: Make use of the "Auerhahn Children's Summer Special":
If you are under the age of nine and are staying in your parents' or grandparents' room, you will not need to pay anything during the period between 30.06.-21.07.24 if you stay for three nights or longer, and this also includes the meals booked by your parents! 
(valid for a maximum of two children in a room or apartment).

 

Single guests / Several people in a double room

Our prices for double rooms are in principle calculated on the basis of occupancy by two people. If only one person uses the room, they will still have to pay the double room price for two people, with the exception of our single rooms: Owl, Fox A and Fox B.

If you were planning to book several single rooms, an alternative might be to book our Robin or Faun apartments which each have several rooms. These apartments can comfortably accommodate up to 4 adults. They have two bedrooms (1 double bed and 1-2 single beds) and a shared bathroom and living area.

 

Dogs / pets

You are welcome to bring your dog with you. In accordance with the wishes of many of our guests, we ask that your beloved four-legged friends stay in your room whilst breakfast and dinner are being served and do not have access to the restaurant during these times. We charge EUR 14 per night for your dog's stay (not including dogfood).

 

Surcharge for New Year's Eve

We have a one-off surcharge of EUR 105/person for bookings over the Christmas and New Year period. This surcharge includes the New Year's Eve dinner. 

 

Mobile phone network and Wi-Fi

Due to our secluded location, we do not have any mobile phone reception, apart from limited Vodafone reception.

You can access the internet via Wi-Fi. The price for your room includes basic-level access at no extra charge, with a maximum download speed of 2 MBit/s, which is adequate for surfing, WhatsApp and e-mails. Being in such an isolated location, we have to rent a radio connection which is quite costly and we therefore charge a one-off fee of EUR 10.00 per room and per stay for high speed internet access, with a maximum speed of 15 MBits. Alternatively, you can purchase one-day high speed access for EUR 2.50.

 

Arrival and departure / late Spa

On your day of arrival, your room will be ready for you from around 2.30 pm onwards. We request that you vacate your room by 11.00 am on your day of departure.

On your day of departure, you are welcome to make use of the Spa Area for the remainder of the day (changing facilities are available). If you do so, please be aware of the start and finish times of our "luxury 3/4 board" provision (see below).

     

Your bill

All our prices are subject to the addition of the current rate of visitors' tax (€3,-- per day)
You can settle your bill on your day of departure, either in cash or using a Eurocheque (EC) bank card. We do not accept credit cards. You can also pay via bank transfer in advance of your departure.

 

Cancellations

You may cancel your booking at no charge up to 6 weeks before your planned date of arrival. If you cancel your booking after this date, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of 60 % of the full price. To protect yourself in the case of illness and to avoid these charges, we recommend that you take out our Auerhahn travel cancellation insurance. We can send you the relevant form with your booking confirmation. 

  

Spa appointments

We strongly recommend that you reserve your desired treatments in advance of your stay. When you check in on your day of arrival, we will give you details of your appointments with the exact times.

 

Restaurants / "luxury 3/4 board"

Our rooms can only be booked in connection with our "luxury 3/4 board". The following benefits are always included in the price of your room:

Welcome drink, fruit bowl in your room, generous breakfast buffet with fresh eggs and pancakes, a buffet of light snacks for lunchtime/afternoon, from 12.30 pm to 4:00 pm, and in the evening a choice of five-course meals or, depending on the day of the week, a themed buffet with a large salad bar, weekly culinary highlights: a starter buffet, festive menus or a dessert buffet. 

We cannot reimburse the cost of any meals that you miss.

Our "luxury 3/4 board" starts on the day you arrive with the afternoon snack buffet and ends on your day of departure with breakfast. You may of course use the snack buffet on your day of departure; in this case, this would cost EUR 28.00 per person.

Smoking

We are a no-smoking hotel, smoking is only permitted on the balconies and in the outside areas.
